Here’s what you’ll learn after reading this article:

  • PuroClean offers entrepreneurs the opportunity to enter a $210 billion recession-resistant industry while making a meaningful impact through community-focused initiatives.
  • Community involvement examples include Franchise Owner Gregory Arianoff who utilizes programs like PuroClean Cares and the Adopt a Classroom campaign to support local schools, youth sports, and cancer research.
  • The business model prioritizes Servant Leadership, providing Franchise Owners with a framework to mentor employees and help them achieve their own professional goals.
  • Maintaining a constant local presence builds community trust, which naturally drives business for property restoration services when neighbors face disasters.

PuroClean Franchise Owners transform lives in their communities by restoring hope to families and businesses facing devastating losses from water, fire, mold, and other property disasters. However, in addition to being part of a $210 billion recession-resistant industry, many of our Franchise Owners display community involvement examples beyond property damage restoration.

Gregory Arianoff, who owns PuroClean of The Big Island in Hawaii and PuroClean of East Las Vegas, is actively engaged in the Hilo region with a steadfast commitment to community service.

‘Relentless Customer Service Is in My DNA’

Before joining the PuroClean family, Arianoff ‘s background was in international hospitality. While sifting through new business opportunities, he determined his next venture had to meet specific criteria.

“It needed to fit a specific startup budget, be viable with our demographics, be more [recession-resistant], but above all, it had to provide a real sense of belonging to a family,” he said. “I had operated many companies in the corporate world, with some of them always claiming to be a family, but it was rarely the case.”

When Arianoff traveled from Hawaii to Florida for PuroClean’s Meet the Team Day and experienced the franchise culture firsthand, he knew he had made the right decision.

“When I met the welcoming party, I knew it was a fit. Straight-up, old-school, American family-oriented business,” he said.

Arianoff opened his Hawaii franchise in 2023 with two full-time employees and one part-time employee. His business has grown to three full-time and three part-time employees, and temporary help when needed.

Community Involvement Examples

Through PuroClean marketing initiatives, such as PuroClean Cares, Arianoff and his team engage in several charitable activities. Last fall, the Hawaiian franchise participated in PuroClean’s Adopt a Classroom Campaign by supporting students at St. Joseph School in Hilo.

“We selected a very small, struggling, private school, adopted two of their sports teams, and purchased sports equipment for the athletes,” said Gregory.

PuroClean’s Superhero Campaign has allowed Arianoff ‘s business to recognize unsung heroes in the community, including a retired Broadway producer and Hollywood writer who leads a community theater organization for underprivileged children.

Arianoff said the PuroClean franchise support system also encourages his franchise’s dedication to the American Cancer Society, a cause that’s significant to the entrepreneur and his spouse.

“I am a cancer survivor, cancer-free for 10 years, and my wife is three and a half years in remission, so this is very personal to us,” he said.

At PuroClean’s franchise convention, all of these philanthropic efforts earned Arianoff ‘s business the 2024 PuroClean Cares Award, an honor that reflects integrity, community, and hard work.

Why Community Involvement Matters

While Arianoff is passionate about helping customers as a PuroClean Franchise Owner, he carries out a continuous mission to support his community through charity work and servant leadership.

“Whether it’s helping to feed the hungry on the island, helping veterans in need, adopting a school sports team, or joining the fight for a cure for cancer. For me, the most fulfilling part is that our leadership’s passion for serving our community passes on to our team members and their families,” he said.

Gregory maintains that being a constant presence in the community also helps build trust in his PuroClean franchise. When neighbors need property reconstruction services, they call on his business because they know his team and their intentions. But it’s not just the community that Arianoff aspires to serve. He gives his employees opportunities to grow and develop skills, mentoring his team through Servant Leadership to become entrepreneurs.

“I want to help them pursue their own dreams with their own families. Through mentorship, I can emphasize the importance of teamwork, accountability, and commitment to community involvement,” he said.

The return on employee investment is not lost on Arianoff. He theorizes that when employees get a high-level view of the business, they contribute to the franchise’s success because they know the value they bring to the organization.

Giving Back to the Community the PuroClean Way

If you’re looking to start a high-margin business with a sense of purpose, PuroClean makes it easy for entrepreneurs to rack up a long list of community involvement examples.

“PuroClean does all the hard stuff, shares ideas and collateral, then we get to do the fun part of executing their initiatives and bless our community the PuroClean Way,” Arianoff said.
