Monday, March 4th was a special day at the PuroClean Corporate Headquarters. We celebrated the 100th flood in our IICRC-approved flood house! One of only 27 in the world, this state-of-the-art Applied Structural Drying (ASD) facility, which we affectionately call our “Flood House”, is the focal point of real-life practical instruction on water damage restoration.
To help us commemorate this amazing milestone, we hosted an event in which we invited local dignitaries, Florida-based Franchise Owners, insurance partners, members of the business community, and South Florida media to actively participate in flooding the house.
Broward County Commissioner Michael Udine and City of Tamarac Mayor Michelle Gomez attended and even gave remarks to honor the occasion. City of North Lauderdale Mayor Ana Ziade also attended. Mark Davis, CEO and Chairman, and Frank Torre, Vice Chairman, were also present to share in the observance of this notable day in PuroClean history.
Guests were led on an interactive tour of the flood house by our new Director of Training, Darren Hudema, with many of them getting the opportunity to pour water onto the floor of one of the living rooms. Darren has been an instructor and developer of water damage training programs for the past 20 years, and we’re proud to have him as our new Director of Training.
Our guests also experienced a presentation on fire and smoke damage, and contents cleaning in the fire room by Bud Summers, E.V.P of Operations and Training. Bud also educated the audience about the PuroClean Academy, and provided an overview of water damage restoration and our certifications and training process. We believe it was a memorable learning experience for all who attended.
The event represents our commitment to providing the very best training in the industry, and ultimately, the very best service to our customers.
“We maintain high standards of training and service, and we are passionate about onboarding PuroClean Franchise Owners and their team members in ways that help them provide truly unparalleled, best-in-class service to our customers,” said Steve White, President & COO. “In celebrating the 100th flood, we recognize the achievements within the science of drying, the skills it takes to mitigate a flood efficiently, and the certifications necessary to live up to PuroClean’s standards.”
