In a meaningful demonstration of veteran-to-veteran support, PuroClean and its veteran-focused PuroVetProgram have contributed funding to help fund the roof replacement at the deteriorating AMVETS Lodge in Higgins Lake, Michigan, a critical community space that had fallen into disrepair after years of exposure and structural wear.

The initiative was personally driven by FrankTorre, Vice Chairman of PuroClean, who is spearheading the PuroVet Program. His leadership and commitment to veteran causes continue to shape the program’s mission, extending beyond business development and into tangible community impact. Recognizing the lodge’s importance as a gathering place for veterans and their families, Torre mobilized support to ensure the facility could remain safe, functional, and accessible.

For decades, the AMVETS Higgins Lake Lodge has served as a hub for camaraderie, peer support, and community engagement. However, a failing roof threatened the building’s usability and long-term sustainability, placing vital programming and veteran connection at risk. Through the financial contribution led by Torre and supported by PuroClean, the lodge can now move forward with necessary repairs that will preserve its role in the veteran community.

Torre’s leadership reflects a deeply held belief that supporting veterans must extend beyond symbolic gestures and translate into direct action. His efforts through PuroVet consistently emphasize service, empowerment, and community reinvestment, values that guide both franchise development and philanthropic community initiatives.

Nat Pulizzi, Commander of AMVETS Michigan, expressed gratitude for the support, noting the importance of partnership in sustaining veteran organizations.

He said, “On behalf of AMVETS Michigan, we extend our sincere appreciation to Frank Torre for stepping forward and driving this initiative, as well as to Mark Davis, for their support and commitment to our mission. Their generosity ensures that our Higgins Lake Lodge remains a safe and welcoming place where veterans can gather, connect, and continue supporting one another.”

The roof replacement project stands as more than a facility improvement. It ensures continuity for meetings, events, and support services that strengthen veteran relationships and promote well-being across generations. It also highlights how corporate partners, when guided by servant leadership, can play a critical role in sustaining veteran organizations at the local level.

PuroClean’s involvement further underscores its commitment to leveraging restoration industry expertise and resources to serve those who have served. By supporting AMVETS and similar organizations, the company reinforces its dedication to strengthening the infrastructure that supports veteran communities nationwide.

Ultimately, the Higgins Lake roof replacement project reflects purposeful leadership and collaborative impact. Through the leadership and initiative of Torre and Davis, coupled with PuroClean’s support, the lodge’s roof restoration will preserve a vital space where veterans can gather, support one another, and continue honoring a shared legacy of service.
