Recognized for Veteran Advocacy, Business Leadership, and Legacy of Service
Detroit, MI – PuroClean proudly announces that Frank Torre, Vice Chairman of PuroClean and Co-CEO of Signal Restoration Services, was honored at the 15th Annual Montford Point Marines Heritage Military Banquet & Awards Ceremony with a Special Tribute from the State of Michigan. The recognition included a framed proclamation, signed by Governor Gretchen Whitmer, Lieutenant Governor Garlin Gilchrist II, State Senator Stephanie Chang, and State Representative Joseph Tate.
Presented in conjunction with Torre receiving the Montford Point Marines Legacy Award, the tribute acknowledged his enduring leadership in supporting veterans, preserving military history, and creating meaningful economic opportunities through PuroClean’s PuroVet Program.
“Frank Torre is not only a distinguished business leader—he is a champion for our veterans,” the proclamation states. “His legacy of service and patriotism reflects the very best of Michigan and the United States Marine Corps.”
The tribute highlights Torre’s deep personal and professional connection to military service and empowering veterans. He is the proud son of Frank Torre Sr., a member of the legendary WWII Carlson’s Raiders, a Marine Corps battalion renowned for their bravery and innovation. In honor of that Marine Corps legacy, Torre has made significant philanthropic contributions, including the donation of a stone entrance gate and flag promenade at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan, and the naming of the road leading into the cemetery in his father’s honor.
Through his leadership at PuroClean, Torre is spearheading the PuroVet Program, a national veteran franchise initiative that supports Service-Disabled Veterans and Veteran-Owned Businesses (SD/VOBs) in becoming PuroClean Franchise Owners within the booming property restoration industry. Torre has worked in close partnership with the National Veteran Business Development Council (NVBDC) to ensure that certified veterans have access to business ownership, training, and long-term economic empowerment.
“This recognition is deeply meaningful to me and my family,” said Torre. “It represents a continuation of my father’s legacy and the work we are doing to support those who have served our nation. I accept this on behalf of every veteran who has taken the leap into entrepreneurship.”
Keith King, Founder & CEO of NVBDC, and Sid E. Taylor, Director of the NVBDC JROTC Scholarship Program, were also in attendance and celebrated Torre’s contributions as a national model for private-sector veteran engagement.
PuroClean extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Montford Point Marine Association and the State of Michigan for the Montford Point Marines Legacy Award’s extraordinary recognition of Frank Torre’s leadership and legacy.
