PuroClean is proud to welcome Jennifer and Jessie Wine to the PuroClean family! The Wine’s franchise will primarily serve Burlington, WI. We asked Jennifer a few questions about their background and new franchise ownership – let’s get to know them!
As a veteran, what made you decide to purchase a PuroClean Franchise?
Jessie has been in the Insurance and restoration industry for many years. It has been a dream of his to open his own business. In December 2021, my employer moved my role to the Boston area. I spent eight months searching and interviewing for new positions. I became fed up with the process of looking for a job and decided now is the time to become my own boss.
Deciding to own a PuroClean franchise was a culmination of careful consideration, alignment of values, and a gut feeling that we were destined for this path. After exploring various opportunities and weighing the pros and cons of entrepreneurship, we were drawn to PuroClean’s unwavering commitment to veterans and their exemplary track record in the restoration industry.
Visiting the headquarters and interacting with the team further solidified our conviction that PuroClean was the right fit for us. The integrity, professionalism, and dedication exhibited by the PuroClean family resonated deeply with our principles and aspirations. It was clear to us that this partnership was more than just a business venture; it was an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in people’s lives while building a successful enterprise.
PuroClean stood out as a franchise that prioritized its Franchise Owners’ success and fostered a sense of camaraderie similar to what we experienced in the military, making it the clear choice for us. PuroClean’s commitment to veterans and its strong reputation in the restoration industry resonated with us, making it an ideal choice for our entrepreneurial journey.
What would you tell a prospective owner looking at the PuroClean opportunity today?
PuroClean has a comprehensive support system, including training, marketing assistance and ongoing guidance. PuroClean fosters an environment of comradery, encouraging unity between the franchises. Each franchise is a champion of their neighboring owners. We are in this to see everyone succeed, take the plunge.
What would you tell a military veteran looking at exiting the service, and maybe had not previously thought about franchising or the PuroClean opportunity?
There is no substitute for hard work, determination and the willingness to outwork your competitors. As a veteran, you have already proven that you possess the qualities required for success. America was built by strong leaders, so don’t be afraid to pick up the torch and soldier on. Owning your own franchise business is a symbol of freedom and you fought for that right, so own it and make your mark. You can be an inspiration to your family and friends.
What value do you think you bring to the network now, in your experience and background?
In the military, less than 1% of Americans volunteer to serve, making service members the true 1%. This distinction reminds me that in times of adversity, it’s up to us to shape our own destiny. The core principles instilled by the Army – loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity, and personal courage – have become the guiding force in both my personal and professional life. These principles inform my everyday decisions and actions as a business owner, where every choice carries consequences.
The experiences I gained in the military have instilled in me a strong sense of discipline, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in high-pressure situations.
The military has equipped me with invaluable leadership skills, emphasizing the importance of clear communication, strategic decision-making, and fostering a cohesive team. These attributes are directly applicable to managing and leading a successful business.
The ability to inspire and motivate a team, delegate responsibilities, and maintain a unified vision are key elements that my military service has ingrained in my approach to business ownership.
My military background has provided me with a unique perspective on leadership, teamwork and resilience, which serve as foundational pillars for success in the business world. The skills and values cultivated during my service continue to guide my entrepreneurial journey, making me a better-prepared and more effective [franchise] owner.
How do you think your military experience will help you achieve your goals with PuroClean?
Drawing from my military experience, I’ve learned the importance of preparation and adaptability, traits that are equally essential in the field of Emergency Restoration. Just as in the military, where readiness and flexibility are paramount, preparation and training are critical to our success in this industry. The military teaches us that even ordinary soldiers can achieve extraordinary results through disciplined adherence to simple steps, consistently applied to generate excellence outcomes.
While it’s impossible to anticipate all the outcomes of our decisions, the foundation of values and principles cultivated in the military equips me with the resilience and determination needed to navigate the challenges of entrepreneurship. My military service has not only shaped who I am today but has also provided me with the tools and mindset necessary to succeed as a veteran-owned [franchise] business. With faith, integrity, and a commitment to excellence, I am confident in my ability to overcome any obstacle and achieve success in both business and life.
Owning a PuroClean franchise has been a rewarding and fulfilling endeavor, fueled by a passion for service, a commitment to excellence, and a relentless pursuit of success. We look forward to the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead, knowing that with dedication and perseverance, anything is possible.
