PuroSystems, LLC is the owner of this website and the franchisor of the PuroClean and Purofirst brands of independently owned and operated disaster restoration franchises, who also make use of this website. PuroSystems can be contacted by mail at 6001 Hiatus Road, Suite 13, Tamarac, FL 33321, by phone at (800) 775-7876, or by e-mail at [email protected]. This online privacy notice discloses PuroSystems’ information practices for the web site, including what type of personal identifiable information is requested, how the information is used, and with whom the information is shared.
  2. Web Site Visits. In general, you can visit the website without disclosing or revealing any personal information. However, PuroSystems does automatically collect geo-locational data and the IP address from which people visit us. This information is used to solve technical problems, calculate usage statistics, security purposes, and to help us direct visitors to the appropriate local franchise.
  3. Web Site Transactions. At times, we will require your personal information to complete a transaction. For example, to process a newsletter subscription, we may need your name, mailing address, and e-mail address. Our intent is to inform you before collecting personal information. If you tell us that you do not wish to have this information used as a basis for further contact with you, we will respect your wishes.

2. Personal Information That May Be Collected.

  1. Identifying Information. In order to sign up for a newsletter, register for an event, or request contact or service from PuroSystems or a local franchise, you may need to provide certain personal identifying information, which may include: name, postal address (including zip code), e-mail address, date of birth, NPN/license number, telephone number, facsimile number, method of payment, and, if applicable, credit card number. This information is only collected if it is voluntarily submitted by you in places like contact or registration forms.
  2. IP Addresses. We collect and use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track user movement, and gather broad aggregate demographic information for reporting and security purposes. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information unless you voluntarily submit the personally identifiable information, in a registration form for example.
  3. Service Quality Monitoring. Some Web site transactions may require a customer to call us, or us to call the customer. It is our practice to monitor, and in some cases record such calls for staff training or quality assurance purposes.
  4. Information from Children. We do not collect or maintain information from users actually known to be under the age of 18, and no part of PuroClean.com is structured to attract anyone under the age of 18.
  5. Links to Other Web Sites. Our website may contain links to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of those other websites.

3. Uses Made of the Information.

  1. Limited Uses Identified. Without your prior consent, we will not use your personal identifiable information for any purpose other than that for which it is submitted.

4. Disclosure of the Information.

  1. Within Corporate Organization. Your personal information may be shared within the PuroSystems’ corporate organization, and may transfer the information to countries in the world where we conduct business. Some countries may provide less legal protection for customer personal information. In such countries we will still handle customer personal information in the manner describe herein.
  2. Mergers and Acquisitions. Circumstances may arise where for business reasons, PuroClean decides to sell, buy, merge or otherwise reorganize its businesses in the United States or some other country. Such a transaction may involve the disclosure of personal identifying information to prospective or actual purchasers, and/or receiving such information from sellers. Our practice is to seek appropriate protection for information in these types of transactions.
  3. Agents. We engage other companies and individuals to perform business functions on our behalf. These persons are provided with personal identifying information required to perform their functions, but are prohibited by contract from using the information for other purposes. These persons engage in a variety of functions which include, but are not limited to, analyzing data, providing marketing assistance and providing customer services.
  4. Franchisees. PuroClean is a network of independently owned and operated disaster restoration franchises. Customer information related to a transaction with a franchise is shared with that franchise.
  5. Marketing Analysis by Third Parties. PuroClean reserves the right to disclose to third parties personal information about customers for marketing analysis; however, any information disclosed will be in the form of aggregate data that does not describe or identify an individual customer.
  6. Affiliated Businesses. In addition to our franchisees, PuroSystems works closely with affiliated disaster restoration businesses, like Signal Restoration. These businesses identify themselves to customers. Customer information related to a transaction with an affiliated business is shared with that affiliated business.
  7. Disclosure to Governmental Authorities. Under certain circumstances, personal information may be subject to disclosure pursuant to a judicial or other government subpoenas, warrants or orders.

5. Use of Computer Tracking Technologies.

  1. No Tracking of Personal Information. Our website is not set up to track, collect or distribute personal information not entered by visitors. Our site logs do generate certain kinds of non-identifying site usage data, such as the number of hits and visits to our sites. This information is used for internal purposes by technical support staff to provide better services to the public and may also be provided to others, but, again, the statistics contain no personal information and cannot be used to gather such information.
  2. Use of Cookies. A cookie is a small amount of data that is sent to customer’s browser from a Web server and is stored on the computer’s hard drive. We use non-identifying cookies to provide easier site navigation and to help direct customers to the appropriate local franchise. Our website can still be used if your browser is set to reject cookies. Our cookies do not generate personal data, do not read personal data from your machine and are never tied to anything that could be used to identify you.
  3. Use of Web Beacon Technologies. We may also use Web beacon or other technologies to better tailor our website and provide better customer service. If these technologies are in use, when a visitor accesses these pages of the website, a non-identifiable notice of that visit is generated which may be processed by us or our suppliers. Web beacons usually work in conjunction with cookies. If you do not want cookie information to be associated with your visits to these pages, you can set your browser to turn off cookies; however, Web beacon and other technologies will still detect visits to these pages, but the notices they generate cannot be associated with other non-identifiable cookie information and are disregarded.

  1. Commitment to Online Security. We employ physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard the security and integrity of personal information.
  2. No Liability for Acts of Third Parties. We will exercise all reasonable efforts to safeguard the confidentiality of customer personal information. However, transmissions protected by industry standard security technology and implemented by human beings cannot be made absolutely secure. Consequently, we shall not be liable for unauthorized disclosure of personal information due to no fault of ours including, but not limited to, errors in transmission and unauthorized acts of staff, franchisees and/or third parties.

7. Privacy Policy Changes and Opt-Out Rights.

  1. Changes to Privacy Policy. This privacy notice was last updated on January 7, 2020. we reserve the right to change the policy statement at any time. A notice of any material change will be posted on PuroClean.com for 30 days.
  2. Opt-Out Right. You have the right at any time to cease permitting personal information to be collected, used or disclosed by us and/or by any third parties with whom PuroClean has shared and/or transferred such personal information. Right of cancellation may be exercised by contacting us at [email protected] or (800) 775-7876. After processing the cancellation, PuroClean will delete customer or prospective customer’s personal information from its data base.

8. Access Rights to Data.

  1. Information Maintained by PuroSystems. Upon your request, we will provide a reasonable description of your personally identifiable information maintained in our data bank. We can be contacted at [email protected] or (800) 775-7876.
  2. Corrections and Changes to Personal Information. Help us keep your information accurate. If your personal information changes, or you note an error upon review the information we have on file, please promptly e-mail us at [email protected] and provide the new or correct information.
